Fabiola:

Welcome to the root cause solutions for you podcast. I am your host, my name is Fabiola and I am a holistic practitioner passionate about helping you achieve optimal health. Today, we're diving into the fascinating topic of mole toxicity and its impact on your overall health. Mole toxicity is a growing concern in many households and work environments, and it is important to understand the common types of mold that can affect your health. Mold toxins, also known as mycotoxins, mold spores and spore fragments can easily become airborne, leading to respiratory issues, headaches, fatigue and even hormonal imbalances. One gland that is particularly vulnerable to mold toxins is the thyroid gland, which regulates our metabolism and plays a crucial role in hormone production. So if you have been experiencing unexplained symptoms such as brain fog, muscle weakness or chronic fatigue, mold toxicity could be a contributing factor and a root cause. The presence of toxic mold in our environment can trigger chronic inflammation, which can have long term consequences for our overall health. So how can you identify and manage mold in your home? Well, firstly, it is important to be aware of the signs of mole growth Mostly odors, water stains or discoloration on walls or ceilings, just to name a few. So proper ventilation is the key in preventing mole growth, so make sure to keep your home well ventilated, especially in areas prone to moisture, such as bathrooms and basements. So one thing that you do need to be aware of is that you may require professional help, meaning you may need to call a mold inspector. You may need to call a special team to come in and remediate the spaces that have been affected by mold, and the reason why it is important to know what exactly you're dealing with through the proper testing and inspection is because sometimes you can make things worse, and you don't want to do that. If your health has already been compromised in some way, or if a family member already has compromised health, by trying to do it yourself, you may do more harm. So it is important to really educate yourself. So their amazing podcast is called Mold Finders Radio and is hosted by Brian Carr. He is the co-founder of a company called we Inspect. They have amazing tools that can help you really understand what you might be dealing with, but there are some things that you can do in your home, and one of the things that you can do is using effective products available that can help you eliminate the mold. Look for options such as hydrogen peroxide or vinegar-based cleaners that won't introduce more toxins into your home.

Fabiola:

While many believe that bleach is the go-to solution for mold eradication, note that this method is not recommended by the Environmental Protection Agency, the EPA. When bleach is used to clean mold, it reacts with the mold to produce chloroform, which is a toxic compound that can cause health issues like dizziness, nausea and potentially more severe reactions. Besides, bleach may only discolor the mold without killing it, given the illusion that the problem has been resolved when in fact is still present. Bleach can pose health risks, especially when used in ventilated areas, leading to eye, skin and respiratory irritation. It's also harmful to the environment, contributing to water pollution when washed down the drain. So the use of bleach for mold removal is neither effective nor environmental friendly. I personally use Microballon's Health Products, which I will put the links of my favorite products in the show notes. Microballon's was created by Dr Donald Dennis. They have all kinds of amazing products that can help you mitigate mold in your house and your work environment.

Fabiola:

So let's talk about diet. When it comes to our diet, certain foods can contribute to mold growth, and it can actually make symptoms of mold toxicity worse. It is best to avoid foods like processed grains, dairy products and sugary treats, as all these can promote the growth of mold. Instead, you can focus on fresh, whole foods that can support your immune system and reduce inflammation. One powerful tool for detoxing mold from your body is an infrared sauna. Infrared saunas are an effective way to detox the mold from your body and other harmful chemicals, and this is done through sweating, which is one of your body's natural methods of detoxification. The heat from an infrared sauna permeates more deeply into the body compared to a traditional sauna, helping you mobilize toxins from the fat cells where they're often stored. Regular infrared sauna use can lead to significant reductions in the level of toxins in your body. So there was a study published in the Journal of Environmental and Public Health. I will include that in the show notes but it basically talked about how infrared sauna therapy can be an effective treatment for eliminating persistent organic pollutants, including microtoxins.

Fabiola:

Now let's hear a personal story from one of my clients.

Fabiola:

She'd been struggling with chronic fatigue on brain fog for years, and after identifying toxic mold in her home and implementing the program with disgust, she noticed a significant improvement in her symptoms.

Fabiola:

Her program included making sure if her drainage funnel was open, meaning she was going to the bathroom every day and she was sweating.

Fabiola:

She wasn't feeling puffy and we used targeted supplementation and the dietary changes to help her make sure that her drainage pathways were open before we went after binding the mold toxicity in her system, and she noticed a significant improvement in her symptoms, and it's truly incredible to see how small changes can make a big impact on your health, and I just want to emphasize that, while the information provided today is based on credible research, in my experience as a holistic practitioner, it is important to work with someone who is a trained practitioner to make sure that you are on the correct path. Whether you are detoxing mold, chemicals, whatever you're working on, it's important to be working with a practitioner. I really want to thank you for tuning into this episode. By being proactive in identifying and managing mold in your home, in your body, you can create a healthier living environment and support your overall well-being. Remember your health is your greatest wealth. Stay tuned for more insightful episodes and until next time, take care of yourself holistically.
